How we
go about it
Design,
planning and implementation
Though the systems Clever Association custom installs are
infinitely varied and have many different functions, we work to an established
process and methodology that is strictly adhered to, however simple or complex
your project may be. By following these procedures, we establish exactly what
it is you want to achieve, provide accurate timescales for its provision and
give you detailed forecasts on costs.
The key
thing is to involve us at the earliest stage – ideally when you first start to
think about integrated systems – and definitely before building or renovation
work starts. In this way we can advise you on just what is achievable (which
may be way beyond anything you've imagined) and install the wiring
infrastructure and equipment behind plasterwork so that virtually everything is
out of sight (so
it's goodbye to that old mass of sprawling, straggly wires!).
As such, you should discuss
your requirements with ourselves, your architect, interior designer and
builder/electricians at the earliest possible opportunity. Clever Association
works closely with all of the above to ensure an easy, trouble-free,
coordinated installation.
The
process
- Lifestyle
analysis: We look at your life and
aspirations, and discuss how integrated systems could revolutionise your
lifestyle and home.
- Initial
proposals, designs, and budgets: We
turn our proposals into initial designs and present these for your approval,
together with estimated costs.
- Full
system design on architect drawings: We
overlay all our proposals onto your architectural plans (when available) and
discuss these with your architect to ensure feasibility and a coordinated
approach
- Equipment
specification: We select the finest
equipment available within the given budget, and assemble a product portfolio
for your approval, together with full specifications and a detailed
quotation.
- Wiring
schedules: We design a wiring
infrastructure, produce detailed drawings and schedules and discuss this with
your builders/electricians.
- Timing
schedule: We liaise with all
professional bodies involved on the project to determine a precise timeframe
for individual activities and completion.
- Wiring
infrastructure install: All wiring installed,
either by our technicians or your own after a thorough briefing and
supervision.
- Cable
test and sign off: All wiring undergoes a
thorough test before clearance is given for plastering to commence.
- Purchase
equipment and test: All equipment is purchased,
pre-configured and bench tested before being delivered to the site.
- Build
central equipment: We assemble all the central
equipment into a rack or cabinet which is fully tested in our workshop.
- Terminate
cables: Once building and plastering is
complete, we can prepare the installed cables and attach the relevant
connectors ready for the equipment installation
- Program
and configure: Certain systems rely on a
graphical interface or IT based network. We write the software and configure
networks to specific functional design
- Room-by-room
installation: Install specific equipment
into individual rooms
- Commission
system: Activate entire system
- Snag
and refine: Any functional or software
problems are identified and remedied.
- Agree
service contract: There are several levels of
service contract, from office hours to 24/7 and warranties on equipment can be
extended up to 8 years.
- Owners manual: We
provide an easy-to-understand manual on how the system works – detailing
individual and central functions – warranties and service contract details,
emergency numbers etc
- Familiarisation: We
spend time with you demonstrating the system and showing you how to operate it.
- Follow-up: We leave you to enjoy the system for a period of time,
then visit to see if anything needs adjusting or changing to your particular
preferences.
